As someone who has chosen to holiday in New Zealand, we recognise that you appreciate the special qualities of our environment. The landscapes and wildlife that make Aotearoa special are precious, and they need protection.

To make it easy for visitors to show their respect for our country’s natural assets, Tourism Holdings Limited (THL) has teamed with BP to create the THL-BP Eco Trust.

Under the scheme, BP will donate 2 cents for every litre of petrol or diesel sold to travellers who present the card when they purchase fuel. THL will match BP’s donations and the donations will be paid into the THL-BP Charitable Trust for distribution to worthwhile environmental projects.
 
The trust aims to raise about $200,000 annually to help protect New Zealand’s rare species, native forests and delicate marine environments.
 
Please keep the card with your vehicle’s keys, and remember to look for the BP sign when it’s time to fill up.

When you collect your rental vehicle, you will receive a THL-BP Eco Card (pictured above). Please keep it with your vehicle’s keys.

While you are travelling around New Zealand, we request that you purchase your fuel at BP stations. Present the card to the BP staff when you make a fuel purchase.

At the end of your journey, when you return your vehicle to us, we will be able to let you know the amount your fuel purchases have contributed to the THL-BP Charitable Trust – and to thank you!
